Music Monday: Christmas Edition.

Is there really any better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to listen to Christmas music? No, I don’t think so. I’m a firm believer in waiting to stay blasting it until after Thanksgiving but then after that anytime is fair game. When you’re cleaning, when you’re cooking, (especially when you’re baking Christmas cookies I mean come on), when you’re doing homework, or at home work, on your way to school, at work in the office, in the car, you name it, I’m allowing it. It would seem as though many have their own interpretations as to what is really Christmas music, is it only the original artists? Do remakes give you the same feel? Well, my 20 song playlist has a little bit of both so I thought I’d share it and see how it compared to everyone else!

I really am a sucker for the Old School original songs, but there are a lot of remakes out there that are very nicely done. Honestly, I think it’s kind of hard to truly mess up a Christmas song you know? But anything by Burl Ives and Bing Crosby will always be my favorite. There are a few others that could easily be added to this list, but for the most part, these are the ones I currently have on my playlist and have been listening to through all of my activities since Thanksgiving!

What does your list look like? Do you prefer the new stuff the old stuff? Do you only like the Original versions? Is there a song I missed that I absolutely should add? Tell me in the comments! I want to know!

I launched Miss Raee in 2016 purely for a twenty-something girl who is trying to figure it all out, who loves to write and finally decided to share it. I’ve had a hell of a time figuring out what I wanted this blog to be, and I’ve eventually narrowed it down to that I want this blog to be ME, every weird, quirky, loveable aspect of me and even more importantly anyone who also sees themselves as that weird, quirky, loveable person who might love plant-based cooking, multiple fandoms including Star Wars, Supernatural, Greys Anatomy, DC TV, Marvel, The Magicians and SO much more. I found myself being an advocate for mental health, for animals, for the environment, and for equality. I’m a big believer in the vibes you bring, the power of music, and how important the storytelling of books and movies and TV can be. If I’m not on the blog, you can find me sharing selfies and nonsense on Instagram @/amandaraeex3 and live-tweeting and putting in my two cents on twitter at @/amandaraee_x3, so I hope you’ll tag along with me on here and my social media and enjoy all the weird, quirky things we all love.
