Women Crush Wednesday: Little Miss Bliss

It’s no secret that Alexa Bliss is a lover of Disney, cosplay type ring gear and doesn’t seem to be afraid to fly in the air to take down an opponent. She is an overall five-time women’s champion in the short three years she has been on the main roster. She went from tutus, and goody toe-shoe smiles to Harley Quinn inspired outfits and sinister grins. She’s fought against and beat the likes of Becky Lynch, Mickie James, Natalya, Bayley, Nia Jax and more. She’s thrown down in tables matches, elimination chamber matches, defeated seven other women to become Ms. Money in the bank, and went toe to toe on the microphone with Mickie James against Trish Stratus and Lita. At one time or another, she was the highest grossing woman in terms of merchandise which she has an abundance of on WWEShop. When teaming with Braun Stroman in the WWE mixed match challenge, she managed to bring out a whole different side to the monster among men making them a fan favorite to win the competition, a partnership that shines through any time the two of them are on camera together.  She was the in Triple H’s entrance at WM 30 and debuted on NXT TV about a month later so wonderfully naive about what her future would unfold to be. Wrestlemania has been hosted by the likes of The Rock, The New Day, and Hulk Hogan and now at WrestleMania, Alexa Bliss.

With her, five-foot stature comes a big ole’ attitude full of resilience, hard work, and determination.

I’ve been a fan of Alexa Bliss since she first came on the scene in NXT in all her fairy tutu glory, and I’ve loved watching her evolve as she’s taken on the various roles that she has. From Managing and teaming with Buddy and Wesley, breaking out of the shadow of not being one of NXT’s four horsewomen, coming into her own on the mic, in the ring, and with her personality. Commandeering people to listen to her when she speaks, insult you so badly but you still smile because she’s acknowledging you, and leaving you in awe as she flips through the sky at any point in the match.  She has more than proven that she is here to make a name for herself, and whether it’s in the ring on, on the mic, or during a moment of bliss segment, she’s definitely not done taking over.

This isn’t anything you don’t already know, you already know all about Alexa Bliss, who she is, what she’s done and what she’s capable of. And we all know her story, but that doesn’t mean she still doesn’t deserve all the praise in the world. She is everything I’ve written about (of course, I’ve missed things), and she’s so much more.

As WrestleMania looms closer, there is no doubt in my mind, that little miss bliss will make quite a splash as being the greatest host WrestleMania has ever seen.

I launched Miss Raee in 2016 purely for a twenty-something girl who is trying to figure it all out, who loves to write and finally decided to share it. I’ve had a hell of a time figuring out what I wanted this blog to be, and I’ve eventually narrowed it down to that I want this blog to be ME, every weird, quirky, loveable aspect of me and even more importantly anyone who also sees themselves as that weird, quirky, loveable person who might love plant-based cooking, multiple fandoms including Star Wars, Supernatural, Greys Anatomy, DC TV, Marvel, The Magicians and SO much more. I found myself being an advocate for mental health, for animals, for the environment, and for equality. I’m a big believer in the vibes you bring, the power of music, and how important the storytelling of books and movies and TV can be. If I’m not on the blog, you can find me sharing selfies and nonsense on Instagram @/amandaraeex3 and live-tweeting and putting in my two cents on twitter at @/amandaraee_x3, so I hope you’ll tag along with me on here and my social media and enjoy all the weird, quirky things we all love.
