Lets get right into it.
WWE UK Championship: Pete Dunne vs. WALTER
685+ days. That is insane, the greatest kind of insane. I’ve always loved Pete Dunne from the moment he came on the scene in NXT but damn if anyone is going to truly push him over the edge, I think it’s gonna be this WALTER guy. I don’t know much about WALTER, other than you apparently put his name in all caps, and what I’ve seen from video packages, and that is enough to scare me, honestly. Dunne has been champion for a really long time, so it’s got to be someone rather incredible to end that, and WALTER could be that guy. That being said I will wholeheartedly be rooting for Pete Dunne to continue that reign long into the 700s and beyond. Winner: Pete Dunne.
NXT Tag Team Championship: War Raiders vs. Aleister Black & Ricochet
It’s no secret that Aleister Black and Ricochet are two of my favorite wrestlers probably ever, especially right now, and so you’d think I’d want them to win this. Well no. As much as I admire Black and Ricochet, they’re time on NXT rightfully so has come to an end, and the main roster is where they belong, and I’m only slightly unworried about that because it seems to be going well so far. The War Raiders are incredible, every time I watch them, they shock me, and I love that. Winners: War Raiders.
NXT North American Championship: Velveteen Dream vs. Matt Riddle
While I’ll happily admit that Matt Riddle is super talented, I just don’t get all the hype.. at least not yet. I’m not sure what it is. I literally cannot stand when someone walks around saying Bro Bro Bro all the time, so that could definitely be it. Who do I absolutely adore? Velveteen Dream. He doesn’t need a championship because he is just a show on his own, but it certainly adds to him, and I don’t think it’s time to give that up just yet. Winner: Velveteen Dream
NXT Women’s Championship: Shayna Baszler vs. Kairi Sane vs. Io Shirai vs. Bianca Belair
I almost wrote. “Bianca Belair, that’ll be all.” And just stopped right there. Because that is quite simply how much I’m behind her. And I dislike Shayna so much I’ll be satisfied with any outcome that doesn’t involve her leaving the PPV with the championship again. But I genuinely think that Sane and Shirai are destined to hold those tag team championship belts in the future, this one, this night belongs to Bianca. Winner: Bianca Belair.
NXT Championship: Johnny Gargano vs. Adam Cole
I can barely contain my excitement for this match. As sad as I am that Ciampa is once again injured, and we’re not getting another incredible installment of Gargano vs. Ciampa, I’m so thrilled we’re getting Gargano vs. Cole, in a 2 out of 3 falls match no less. I am not the biggest Adam Cole fan, I didn’t watch him on the indys or anything, but that guy can GO. I’m quite torn on who I would appreciate seeing take home the vacant championship though. On the one hand, Gargano has never won it, on another, it might be time for Gargano to go to the main roster and let Cole and the undisputed area truly take over NXT for a little while. This is one of those matches where I don’t know who I’m rooting for until I get lost in the match and catch myself rooting harder for one than the other. Something tells me that I’ll be rooting for Gargano because damn does he deserve it. Winner: Gargano, probably.
