Monday Night Raw. 3/6/17
For once the opening segment of Raw was actually really good. I loved the Owens and Jericho interaction and I am looking forward to their wrestlemania match even if they aren’t fighting for the championship I was hoping that they would be.
Kevin vs Zayn and Samoa Joe vs Chris Jericho were both really good matches. & at least they put Kevin and Sami in a match together because it made sense.
Neville vs Swann was SO GOOD. Really showcased both talents and after that match? Aries getting a hit in on Neville and showing he’s ready to fight gain SO EXCITING. I’ve loved Aries for years and I’m stocked to see him fight in the cruiserweight division.
I could not have cared less about the Goldberg and Lesnar segment.
Tozawa and Davari, New Day vs Primo and Epico, and Sasha vs Bayley were good matches. Gallows and Anderson vs Enzo and Cass was good, better that Cesaro and Sheamus were ringside and chao ensued because it sets up a nice triple threat for wrestlemania.
The Women of Raw figured out that it’ll be a triple threat for the womens title again this year. I’m only annoyed with this because it’s almost exactly like last year all they did was switch Becky with Bayley. I hope that Nia Jax gets added, that’ll help.
The Undertaker/Braun/Roman segment was good. Interesting how they had Braun seem afraid of Taker and back away from him and interesting how they had Roman show almost no respect for Taker by telling him it’s his yard now. I know a lot of people hate the thought of Roman vs Taker at wrestlemania but it’s what we’re getting and quite honestly I’m not completely angry with it, is it the best no? is it the worst? definitely not.
Smackdown Live 3/7/17
Nikki and John have had some adorable moments on Total Divas, Total Bellas and Social Media but I don’t think anything compares to them sharing the ring together on SDLive. Loving the progression of this mix tag feud.
Baron putting Dean under the forklift… damn. I love it so much. Definitely looking forward to this hopeful wrestlemania match the most.
Alexas Blissertation was… interesting. I did like how Bryan made it basically a battle royal. He didn’t say which women would be in it… just whoever is available… which leaves the door open for Naomi if she can make it! And that Mick kick to Alexa after the tag team match again Becky and Nattie… loved it.
Styles vs Orton was out of this world! Such an amazing match and I want to see it again for sure! Glad Randy won, he did win the Rumble after all even if he turned it down he did it to further his AMAZING plan again Bray.
Some said it was weird that Bray didn’t appear on SD, I actually liked that he didn’t. What Randy did was so tragic to Bray and his family… his life… and we saw him very vulnerable which is so different so for him not to appear speaks volumes as to what Randy was able to truly accomplish.
I’m not sure if it was because Fastlane was SO bad or what but Raw wasn’t terrible. It wasn’t great.. but better than the last two episodes for sure.
Smackdown Live was good, it always is, it actually goes by too fast, one minute it’s the opening and the next minute it’s the main event… it doesn’t drag on like some other shows 😉
